02/28/2007: "Blog Revisited"
What's on the box: Cool JerkHow I'm feeling: Tetchy
I was reading another article about blogging which said that in order to keep an audience, you should blog at least weekly, but preferably daily. It also said that because of this you should blog about something that you feel passionate about. Basically, it was another article that spelled out why I shouldn't blog.
I'm not passionate about anything. At least not in the way they mean: obsessive. I'm in to plenty of things (some would say too many), but my personality doesn't allow me to be passionate about any of them for any given length of time.
I've got a stack of eight U.S. News magazines that I need to comment on (plus a couple I haven't even read yet) and while I will tend to do a lump of them at once, I can never get through the whole stack and still want to comment on new ones, even though when I read them the first time, I often think of things to say. My goal is to clear my backlog and then start reading the letters at the keyboard, so I don't procrastinate. It's not as crazy as it sounds. I can be pretty organized when I want to...until the passion for organization wanes, that is.
