03/14/2006: "Happy Pi Day!"
It's Pi Day and I know what you're going to ask: "Has it been a year already?" Yes, it has.
You might notice that there's been a bit of a redesign here today. It's all a result of my work with GM2.
Just playing around one day, I devised a way to create resizable gradients on a web page. In case the word "devised" is too subtle for you, how about "invented"?
That's right. After learning that it's not possible to do gradients with CSS, I invented the process using PHP and Javascript. If anyone else has done it, they haven't posted it online, so I must assume that I am the first. Soon I will post the code and instructions on phrebh.com, but until then you will have to just bask in the glory of the example.
In order to best show off the example, I had to redesign the look a bit. It's more refined with a modern appearance. Plus the Yahoo! ads blend in better.
The hard part was figuring out how to properly get rid of the blank spaces put there whenever I don't fill out the mood or music fields. That's been driving me up the wall for months.
Enjoy the new look. I'll have the long-anticipated, if not waited for, Yahoo! Widget available soon. Keep a look out for it on the feeds page.
