01/12/2006: "Do I look fat in this?"
While I was randomly searching the web for a news site with an RSS feed, I came across an article at WashingtonPost.com about the fact that despite a recent survey suggests that while fat people in America may be feeling better about themselves, others still don't like them.
I'm not in denial about my fatitude, but I may be in denial about my eating habits. I honestly believe that if I could just exercise more than I do (which is finally above none) than I could lose weight and still eat like I'm in training for the Olympic Glutton team. Actually it's not that I eat too much, though I do on occasion, it's more like I've replaced each serving of vegetables with two servings of bacon. I mean sure, my wife was the one who started making green beans cooked with bacon, but I certainly didn't discourage her. I mean, come on! Bacon is good!
Anyway, I don't have a lot to say about the article because it's pretty pointless. It seems like it was just some filller, which, having lived in the D.C. metro area and had a subscription to the Washington Post, is not much of a surprise. The only thing that the major papers have going for them as opposed to my current local, The Cedar Rapids Gazette, is that most of their pointless articles at least originated in house, and weren't purchased off of the wires.
In summary, I like bacon, and linking to the Post in one of my posts allows me to have free advertising on a major news website.
